Southampton are reportedly interested in Osmanlispor midfielder Papa Alioune Ndiaye.
A recent report from the Daily Mail suggests that Saints are looking to bolster their midfield and have identified Ndiaye as a good option for a potential move in the January transfer window.
The 26-year-old has been one of the standout players for the Turkish club this season and has been attracting plenty of interest from other clubs in Europe, with the latest being Claude Puel’s side.
Ndiaye is often described as a dynamic player that is best suited to playing as a box-to-box central midfielder, meaning that he’d be a good fit for Puel’s often-utilised diamond system if he were to revert back to the formation.
Osmanlispor are willing to allow one of their prized assets go for a cheap price of £6 million; a fee that is almost certainly well within Saints’ regular price range when it comes to signings.
Ndiaye is a full Senegal international and could be on the move in the near future.
