According to an emerging report today from French media outlet Foot Sur 7, Southampton are one of many clubs taking an interest in out-of-favour PSG attacker Hatem Ben Arfa.
The Frenchman joined the European footballing heavyweights this summer on a free transfer after enjoying a simply superb season with OGC Nice in Ligue 1 but has fallen massively down the pecking order.

Claude Puel worked wonders with Ben Arfa and managed to get the best out of him during the pair’s final season with Nice, so he certainly knows how to get him playing to his best ability.
Ben Arfa was always tipped for big things but never really lived up to his potential due to issues on and off the pitch. He had two spells in the Premier League with Hull and Newcastle respectively but he was forced out the door and back to France, where he flourished.
It’d be an impeccable signing from Saints, given Ben Arfa’s ability to turn a game on its head with one moment of magic.
