Southampton completed their tour of Holland today with a solid 1-0 win against Groningen.

The Saints have won all of their matches in pre-season so far, and have only conceded one goal as well.

Claude Puel was able to welcome the likes of Fraser Forster and Shane Long back today, as they played their first games of the summer so far.

Charlie Austin scored the only goal of the game, as he came off the bench to head in the winning goal. It was a fine header that snuck in off the post.

There were a number of impressive performers for the Saints, but I have gone for the big man at the back – Virgil Van Dijk.

As he has been ever since he joined, Van Dijk was immense at the back for the Saints. He was very impressive at the heart of the defence and dealt with everything he needed to.
