According to The Daily Echo, Brighton & Hove Albion are hopeful of tying Solly March down to a new deal, with the report saying Southampton are interested.

Southampton are thought to be keen on March, and could make a move for the winger this summer. However, that could depend on how contract talks go with his current club, Brighton.

Brighton are looking to tie him down to a long-term contract and Chris Hughton is reportedly hopeful that a deal can be agreed.

The 21-year-old, who turns 22 tomorrow, has already turned down one offer. March rejected a new two-year contract offer, after he deemed the wage in the offer to be unsatisfactory.

He played just 17 times for Brighton last season, scoring three times, before his season was curtailed by a serious injury. He has only just returned to training, but Brighton are keen to get his future sorted out as soon as possible.
