According to The Telegraph, Sevilla manager Unai Emery is interested in taking over as Southampton manager this summer.
Ronald Koeman is set to leave Southampton after two years at the helm. Koeman finished 7th and 6th in his two seasons at the club, securing Europa League football in both campaigns.
Koeman is very close to a move to Everton, with Southampton looking to replace him with a new manager as soon as possible. One name on the list is Unai Emery of Sevilla.
Emery has won the Europa League in each of the last three seasons and sees the Premier League as a challenge he would like to rise to. The report says that Emery is interested in the Southampton job, which could be major news to the Saints board.
Frank De Boer is seen as the early favorite for the club, but Emery’s reported interest in the job could change all that.
