Our player of the month: April
April was a very good month for Southampton. The month yielded seven points from four games, with just one defeat at the hands of the recently crowned champions of England, Leicester.
Southampton lost to Leicester, beat Aston Villa and Newcastle and drew 1-1 with Everton.
In those four games, Fraser Forster, Oriol Romeu, Dusan Tadic and Victor Wanyama picked up the respective man of the match awards.
As they are all locked on one award each for the month, I have had to pick my player of the month from those four. I have gone for Dusan Tadic!
The Serbian was instrumental in each match and has been in sublime form over recent weeks. He was excellent against Newcastle, Everton and Aston Villa and scored twice in those games.
The 27-year-old also won our player of the month award back in November. This means that him and Virgil Van Dijk are both on two player of the month awards for the season.
Tadic has even started May in fine form, assisting three goals in the first game of the month against Manchester City on Sunday.
