Tomorrow’s clash between Southampton and Liverpool is almost certainly one that will be of great importance as we look back on the season; a match that could decide the fate of Saints’ European hopes for the upcoming campaign.

The Saints currently sit in eighth place, one above Liverpool, but their opponents tomorrow are level on points with Ronald Koeman’s men and regardless of tomorrow’s outcome, they have two games in hand on Southampton.

However, if Saints can manage to salvage a win against Jurgen Klopp’s in-form men, their chances of qualifying for the Europa League this season will be massively boosted, as they could once again climb to sixth if results go their way.

Liverpool will be without star player Roberto Firmino for the game, so their attacking firepower may be less potent than it normally is. Regardless of this blow, however, Jurgen Klopp’s men will be firing and will look to take another big three points.
