Southampton travel away to face Stoke this weekend having not won in any of their last three Premier League matches.
The Saints lost to Chelsea and Bournemouth and drew with Sunderland in that time. Stoke, however, have been in very good form this season and will provide a stern test for Southampton.
Stoke have a number of fantastic players as Mark Hughes has bought very well during his tenure as Stoke’s manager. It was very hard to pick out just one player from Stoke. They have the likes of Xhedran Shaqiri, Jack Butland, Bojan, Joselu, Giannelli Imbula and Ibrahim Affelay.
However, I have picked their main danger man as Marko Arnautovic.
The Austrian has been Stoke’s stand-out forward performer this season. He has scored ten goals in all competitions from the left-wing, assisting four as well. His direct attacking play has caused problems for plenty of team this season.
Arnautovic was criticised in his first few years at Stoke for being inconsistent in the final third but he seems to have remedied that this season, finding a consistent run of form in front of goal for the Potters.
It is unknown whether Cedric or Cuco Martina will start against Stoke, but either one of them will have a real task on their hands up against Arnautovic. I think that Cedric will start as he is better in one-on-one situations and could find it easier up against the Austrian winger than Martina would.
