Southampton have been criticised in recent seasons for selling some of their best talents. Selling the likes of Luke Shaw, Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren, Calum Chambers and many more.
As much as fans would love to see the club keep all of their best players in the coming summer, some are likely to slip away. There will also be players who are not featuring that will look to move on and find a new club.
So, here is a look at five players who could leave in the summer.
Juanmi
Juanmi came with a big reputation when he arrived from Malaga last summer. The young Spaniard was an exciting prospect but has failed to live up to the hype and has found game time hard to come by. A move in the summer is well on the cards, back to Spain looking likely.
Sadio Mane
Mane has been linked to big clubs for months now and a move away in the summer looks inevitable if a large offer comes in.
Gaston Ramirez
Currently out on loan at Middlesbrough, Ramirez’s contract expires in the summer and he is certain to leave the club. He has been impressing in the Championship to a free transfer to Middlesbrough looks like a suitable move.
Victor Wanyama
Like Mane, Wanyama has been linked to a number of big teams and has looked like he has lost focus this season. A summer move could be the best option for all parties involved.
Graziano Pelle
With the signing of Charlie Austin and the recent form of Shane Long, it looks like Pelle’s game time will become very limited. His contract expires at the end of next season and a summer move looks like the right time for Pelle to part ways with the Saints.
